Остается достоверно неизвестным, могут ли 100,000 мартышек написать "Войну и мир". Зато является неоспоримым фактом, что один Гиббон вполне способен написать "Историю упадка и разрушения Римской империи".

Надо бы сделать из этого вопрос "Что? Где? Когда?" :)))

Гиббон прелесть. У меня есть тайное убеждение (кое храню в тайне, чтобы не обнаружить, что все и без меня это знают), что он настоящий отец Джейн Остин.
