scholar_vitУ Альфреда Бестера есть замечательный роман The Demolished Man (в русском переводе "Человек без лица"). Роман был написан в 1951 году - в те славные времена, когда американская научная фантастика имела отношение к художественной литературе. В 1953 году Бестер получил за него премию Хьюго номер 1. В сюжете романа важную роль играет чисто фрейдистская очитка. Там много линий, очень интересно обрисованный мир, где реальна телепатия, замечательные повороты, но мы сейчас остановимся на этой очитке.
Главный герой романа, Бен Рейх, пытается соединить свою фирму с фирмой соперника, пожилого Крея Д'Кортни. Получив отказ, он убивает Д'Кортни. Затем оказывается, что шифрограмма соперника была НЕ отказом, а согласием на партнёрство. Рейх неправильно прочёл её. Выясняется, что Рейх на самом деле - побочный сын Д'Кортни, о чём он подсознательно знал. Он очень хотел убить Д'Кортни, и очитка подтолкнула его к выполнению желаний.
Я вспомнил об этом, когда прочёл интервью Миши Вербицкого в журнале "Эксперт". Там много интересных моментов, но опять же остановимся на одном. Миша говорит:
Итак, картинка понятна: истеблишмент испугался блогосферы и предпринимает попытки загнать её в стойло.Как раз на днях была история в конгрессе обсуждали закон, требовавший обязательной регистрации всех блоггеров, кого читает больше 500 человек; с весьма жесткими санкциями против тех, кто не зарегистрируется.
Впрочем, статусность пугает даже не столько опасностью полицейских репрессий, сколько опасностью вырождения медиа в один большой телеящик. Потому что смотреть футбол и Аншлаг гораздо проще, чем думать. И это вроде алкоголизма затягивает. И проще, и выгоднее для капиталиста: зомби ящика, он не просто человек легко манипулируемый, это к тому же еще идеальный потребитель всего. И капитализм делает все возможное, чтоб люди смотрели футбол и Аншлаг, и потребляли, и как можно меньше решали за себя.
Мысль последовательна, но все-таки указанные меры больше похожи на
практику тоталитарного государства, чем современного западного
общества. Поэтому я заинтересовался, что же на самом деле обсуждалось
в Конгрессе. Подробный анализ этого можно найти вот
тут. Если коротко, то речь в нём идёт об астротурфинге: ситуации,
когда блоггер пишет по заданию политической кампании и получает за
это деньги. Это довольно серьёзная опасность для блогосферы; я
немного писал
о ней раньше. Судя по наивным объявлениям,
астротурф в русском сегменте Интернета успешно развивается (см. также
дискуссию

ivanov_petrov). Астротурф может превратить блогосферу в
ту самую жвачку, о которой говорит Вербицкий, и против которой он
протестует в своём интервью. Приток больших денег, по словам Миши,
погубил русский Интернет середины 90-х годов. Нельзя не видеть, что
этот законопроект направлен как раз против разлагающего влияния
больших денег и платных астротурферов.
Я согласен, что предложенный авторами законопроекта путь, возможно, неверен. В таких делах вообще всё очень сложно: нужен тонкий баланс, позволяющий защитить свободу слова И от государственного вмешательства, И от лгуна на жалованье. Я понимаю и аргументы ЗА реформы типа МакКейна-Фейнголда, и аргументы ПРОТИВ. Точка равновесия всё время меняется, и нужна непрерывная тонкая подстройка. Впрочем, именно для этой непрерывной настройки у нас есть конгресс, президент и суды. В любом случае статья 220 (про блоггеров) из законопроекта уже вычеркнута: по-видимому, время для компромисса ещё не пришло.
Но меня сейчас интересует не сколько сам законопроект, сколько реакция Вербицкого. Нетрудно заметить, что в его философию предлагаемые меры вполне ложатся: пусть каждый, кто получает за блоги деньги от какого-нибудь СУПа, пишет на странице: "Эта запись заказана и оплачена компанией СУП, Носиком и Мамутом". Но характерно, что Миша видит в тексте законопроекта вещи, прямо противоположные реальным намерениям авторов. Вместо попытки (удачной или нет, другой вопрос) защитить блоггеров от коммерциализации, он видит попытку её, коммерциализацию, навязать. Совсем как герой Бестера.
Это наводит на мысль, что на самом деле Миша, как Бен Рейх, является незаконным сыном западной (и, в частности, американской) демократии. Как композитор Танеев, по словам Ираклия Андроникова, был духовным сыном Петра Ильича Чайковского. Его мировоззрение идёт оттуда. Его возмущает то, что возмущает классического свободомыслящего человека эпохи Просвещения. Его система взглядов следует именно этому, извините за выражение, дискурсу. Собственно, и его антигуманистические эпатажные выступления ("Пожалуйста, убейте их всех") - это всего лишь типичный подростковый бунт против отца. Но чтобы бунтовать против отца, этого отца нужно иметь. Бунт - не противоположность сыновней любви; такой противоположностью является равнодушие. Миша ничего не пишет, например, про китайцев или индийцев. Потому что к китайской или индийской цивилизации он имеет куда меньше отношения, чем к современной западной.
"И вот одно из творений Гамильтона, Мэдисона и Джея!" - воскликнул он, патетически показывая на залысины Миши Вербицкого.

А Миша просто увидел знакомые стенания по поводу тоталитаризма и попался на крючок. Хотя мог бы и понять, что поправка, поддерживаемая организациями типа The Traditional Values Coalition, явно не на пользу радикалам.
