How about this, though - theoretically, any religious facility/monument in the vicinity of Ground Zero would be inappropriate. Because, whatever those misguided motherfuckers believed in, it was genuine religious fervor. Let's level all the churches, synagogues, and mosques in the vicinity and never build new ones. Ground Zero is a monument to the damage religion can do to life-loving secular beings. Let's respect that.
