i am exaggerating a bit, of course. however i am familiar with what we call "mountain people" - they literally dug out a place of a hill, they have guns, they do not pay tazes, they rely minimally on the society, home-school their kids, if they need medicine they pay out of pocket, they have no SS numbers and no internet. most of them use generators for electricity.
i know maybe a dozen such folk. over the years in northern new england. they were all normal but one, surprisingly - they chose to ignore the state.. and they do.
people who use state-provided roads, schools, and other amenities are not true libertarians, i think.
