Getting rid of old guard of Clinton was probably a good thing, since they all embody the cold war mentality. Strobe Talbot at the last NPR program has clearly demonstrated his inability to change.
On the other hand, Russian academic and intellectual community outside of Russia has also failed to provide an institutionalized solution for new intellectual essence of Democratic Russia. There are no think tanks, no intellectual discourse, no organized studies of Russia at a proper scholarly level...
