I did not say, all Dems lost. I said the Dems' current establishment lost - which gave an extra chance to Democrat backbenchers like Obama.
I agree with the statement about 16 years (or rather 20 years) lost. Both Bush Sr and Clinton had rather stupid Russia politics - and W, it seemed, did not have any coherent idea about Russia at all.
