You are just not getting what this post is talking about. No one is bashing PP for being useless or evil in itself. PP is great as a presentation aid. It is very useful. I've used it many times quite successfully as a presentation aid for large (and smaller) audiences.


However!


PP is terrible as a medium for technical documentation or research report. Do you see a distinction between "an aid to presenting one's research" and "research report itself"? If a PP deck is the ONLY durable workproduct, it is inadequate to capture all the thoughts and details.
